The canopy fabric is treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, making it ideal for blocking UV rays and offering protection against light and unexpected rain showers. However, it is primarily designed as a sunshade and is not intended for sustained heavy downpours or storms.

How well does the canopy hold up in windy conditions?

Because it is bolted directly to the frame, the canopy remains stable in steady winds of 10–15 mph, withstanding gusts up to 25–30 mph. While it may sway naturally in stronger gusts, it is built to stay firmly attached. Setup tip: Avoid setting up in extreme beach high winds.

Can I use this Canopy Kit on other non-anymaka hammock stands?

No. The Canopy Kit is custom-engineered specifically to fit the exact tube profile and hardware mounting points of anymaka stands (available in versions for the Hammock Stand and Swing Chair Stand). It is not compatible with third-party hammock stands.

Can I leave the Canopy Kit installed outdoors permanently?

While the structural poles and aluminum hardware are weather-resistant, we strongly recommend detaching and storing the fabric canopy indoors when not in use. Prolonged exposure to intense sunlight will cause severe UV damage, fading, and fabric degradation over time.

How should I clean and care for the Canopy Kit and support poles?

To prolong the lifespan of your shade fabric and pole hardware:

Canopy Fabric: Hand wash or spot clean using cold water and a mild, biodegradable detergent. Avoid machine washing, harsh chemicals, or bleaching, which will strip the weather-resistant DWR coating.

Support Poles: Wipe down the poles with a clean, dry cloth after use. If exposed to saltwater, mud, or sand, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly before packing to prevent corrosion or locking mechanism jamming.

Storage: Never store the canopy fabric while wet or damp. Always line dry completely before stowing to prevent mold and material breakdown.

How do I properly attach and secure the canopy kit to the stand frame?

To properly secure the canopy to the stand, the screw should go through the non-threaded plastic hole on the outside of the frame — this allows the threaded end to connect correctly with the metal insert on the other side.

Why did I receive three canopy screws, and where does the extra one go?

The canopy kit only requires two screws for proper installation. We have included a third screw as a free spare in case one gets misplaced or lost over time.
